We are seeking an HR Coordinator for our site in France for a growing international company in the food and beverage industry. The position will provide operational HR support and ensure that all HR processes comply with French labor law and company policies. The postholder will report to the EMEA HR Business Partner and be part of a small global HR team.
Responsibilities
Employee Administration & Payroll
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HR system.
- Act as the main point of contact for the external payroll provider: collect and validate monthly data (new hires, leavers, absences, bonuses, benefits), review payslips, and ensure timely reporting to URSSAF and other authorities.
- Manage time-off and absence tracking.
- Administer employee benefits: health insurance (mutuelle), life/disability coverage (prévoyance), and reimbursement of expenses.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support end-to-end recruitment: drafting job descriptions, posting ads, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing offers.
- Partner with managers working closely with the EMEA People Business Partner to understand hiring needs and ensure a consistent, engaging candidate experience.
- Coordinate pre-boarding and onboarding: prepare employment contracts (CDI, CDD, part-time), DPAE declarations, medical visits, welcome materials, and IT/equipment setup.
Employee Relations & Performance
- Advise managers and employees on global and local HR policies, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
- Provide support to ensure fair and compliant handling of employee issues, maintaining confidentiality and trust.
- Coordinate with the Comité Social et Économique (CSE): prepare documents, attend meetings, and follow up on action items.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with French labor law, global company policies, and applicable collective agreements.
- Maintain internal HR procedures and keep local HR policies up to date.
- Coordinate mandatory health and safety requirements with external providers (médecine du travail).
HR Projects
- Contribute to HR projects such as training, digitalization of HR processes, employee engagement initiatives, or policy updates.
- Support EMEA HR projects and initiatives as required.
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Knowledge and skills
- 5 years of experience in HR coordination or generalist roles in France.
- Native French and high proficiency in English are a must.
- Solid knowledge of French labor law, payroll processes, and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Cornerstone or similar) and basic payroll administration.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
