VP of Software Engineering (Dubai)

*This role requires relocation to Dubai**

Our client is looking for a VP of Software Engineering. In this role, you will guide the team through the design and development of our current and future products.

You will be working closely with the product, design, and data leaders to identify problems & opportunities, and leverage tech solutions to serve our customers and business better. You will guide your directs and their respective teams to scope, validate, build, deploy, and maintain the solutions that will realise these opportunities.

We are seeking an engineering leader who has the following:

• 15+ years building large-scale consumer B2C platforms with at least 3 + years leading 50+ engineers.
• Strong system design experience and ability to roll up your sleeves if needed.
• Experience working on optimisation and distributed systems for consumer-facing products
• Relentlessly strive to push towards best practices and team goals while being flexible in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, and Business stakeholders
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong commercial acumen, grit, and a deep appreciation for quality.
