We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to:

  • lead a project team and will contribute to the continuous growth of our business by steering strategic changes
  • design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
  • apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
  • ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
  • build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
  • understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
  • share knowledge and expertise with colleagues , help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.

Your team
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Fund Administration team in Luxembourg.

The project team is an international team with people working from Luxembourg and Switzerland. The team actively delivers projects and solutions to UBS Fund Administration and is composed of dynamic and pragmatic professionals in the field of project and solution delivery. These professionals focus on various technologies – software development (.NET full stack, PL/SQL), solution architecture, business analysis and engineering, quality assurance (unit and integration testing, test automation), project and portfolio management (Waterfall, Agile).

Your expertise

  • a bachelor or master degree in an IT related domain and at least 5 years prior experience in IT Development roles or within a similar function
  • full stack developer with proficiency in .NET (Entity framework, ASP .Net, WCF, Web API, Winforms), Oracle Database and PL/SQL, Continuous integration and unit testing, Agile development principles & methodologies
  • interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
  • strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
  • strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • excellent presentation and communication skills in English (French and/or German would be a plus)
  • you have experience in managing people, in a role of technical team lead or similar
  • you demonstrate curiosity and show a learning attitude to keep up to date with the latest technical market trends
  • you are familiar with architecture, design patterns and best practices from the industry
  • client focus and delivery oriented reflecting high reliability to your business and IT stakeholders
