Senior Software Engineer (PHP / Node.js / AWS)

About the role

We’re working with a global tech business that’s developing a new AI-driven platform designed to deliver smarter, more personalised digital experiences at scale. You’ll join a small, agile team responsible for designing and delivering scalable systems and APIs, combining PHP, Node.js, and TypeScript within a cloud-native AWS environment. The team’s culture is open, collaborative, and engineering-led, with a genuine focus on clean code, performance, and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-based applications and services.
• Work with PHP, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS to develop new product features.
• Shape system architecture and guide technical decisions within an agile team.
• Ensure quality through automated testing and CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and data teams on AI-driven functionality.

What we’re looking for

• Strong background in PHP, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and deploying distributed, scalable systems on AWS.
• Familiarity with microservices, RESTful APIs, and automated testing.
• Interest or experience in AI or recommendation technologies is a plus.
