SRE Devops

Role Name: SRE / DevOps Engineer

Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities):

• Design, build, and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates for consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Work closely with development teams to embed SRE best practices—observability, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor).
• Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, or GKE).
• Drive incident management processes including root cause analysis, postmortems, and continuous improvement actions.
• Ensure robust security, compliance, and backup strategies are implemented in all environments.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to sprint planning and delivery.

Total Experience: 5–10 Years

Relevant Experience: 4+ Years in SRE or DevOps Engineering

Mandatory Skills:

• CI/CD pipeline design and automation (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions)
• Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform / Ansible
• Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor
• Scripting: Python / Bash / PowerShell

Desired Skills:

• Incident and Problem Management experience using ITIL practices
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
• Experience with Security automation and DevSecOps integration
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Exposure to cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments
• Certifications like CKA, AZ-400, or Google SRE are a plus
