The Role

We’re looking for a DevOps / MLOps Engineer to join a cutting-edge defense technology project developing autonomous interceptor drones. The work combines AI, simulation, and secure cloud infrastructure to enable real-time decision-making and mission-critical performance.

You’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and automation pipelines supporting data-driven software and machine learning in a secure, performance-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure playbooks (IaaS, PaaS, Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Provision and manage cloud resources with external providers.
• Build and optimize CI/CD and ML-Ops pipelines for deployment, experiment tracking, and model registry integration.
• Lead technology and tool selection to enhance software and ML development workflows.
• Ensure reliability, reproducibility, and efficiency of build and deployment processes.
• Support data infrastructure and governance, including data collection, versioning, and simulation integration.
• Integrate simulation environments into ML pipelines and evaluate new technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in DevOps, MLOps, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with data version control, ML model deployment, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Python-based ML frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset.

Work Conditions

• Location: Bucharest (Hybrid – minimum one day per week in-office)
• Engagement: Full-time or contract-based
