WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM


As an Expert Consultant (Data Science), you’ll sit within Bain’s CoroSM delivery team, working closely with Bain case teams and clients to deploy Coro’s proprietary tools and data solutions. You’ll bring advanced analytics and machine learning expertise to life through real client engagements—driving insight, action, and measurable results.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to solution design, collaborate with global experts across disciplines, and shape the future of Bain’s commercial technology offerings.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


  • Lead client-facing workstreams on market opportunity sizing, segmentation, and sales strategy using advanced analytics and Coro tools

  • Partner with consulting teams to scope, configure, and deploy Coro software solutions, acting as both technical expert and problem-solving partner

  • Apply data science methods (including machine learning and GenAI) to support insights across client engagements

  • Interface directly with client stakeholders to understand systems, datasets, and reporting needs

  • Train clients and internal teams on Commercial Excellence tools and capabilities

  • Collaborate with Coro product managers and developers to enhance current offerings and propose new features

  • Contribute to internal capability building—developing training guides, scaling team best practices, and mentoring colleagues

  • Provide input on pre-sales strategy, user demos, and post-engagement support to grow long-term client relationships


ABOUT YOU


You combine a passion for commercial strategy with deep technical expertise and a collaborative, impact-focused mindset.


Must-Have Qualifications:

  • BA or equivalent

  • Strong experience with commercial excellence and advanced analytics, including modeling, forecasting, and data storytelling

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, Tableau, and other analytics platforms

  • Meets at least one of the following:

    • 1+ years as a Bain Consultant or AAG Client Lead

    • 4+ years of industry experience in a data science or commercial operations role (MBA preferred)

  • Proven track record in solving complex business problems with data

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including PowerPoint

  • Ability to manage diverse, distributed teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders

  • Comfortable working independently and remotely with global colleagues

  • Willingness to travel (20–40%, with occasional peaks up to 60%)


Preferred:

  • MBA or PhD in a technical or quantitative field

  • Experience deploying SaaS solutions or supporting customers in technology environments

  • Agile/SCRUM certification

  • Background in project or product management

  • Customer success or enablement experience
