Application Security Engineer (Remote - Europe)

As an Application Security Engineer, you'll play a critical role in securing large-scale AI cloud infrastructure by designing, implementing, and improving the company's application security framework. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to identify vulnerabilities, integrate security into the software lifecycle, and uphold the highest standards of data protection. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on global security initiatives, while collaborating with some of the most talented engineers in the AI and cloud computing sector.

Accountabilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) tools and configurations
• Identify, analyze, and remediate application vulnerabilities using both automated and manual methods
• Collaborate with development teams to embed secure coding practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Conduct manual and automated penetration tests on applications to detect and address security weaknesses
• Develop and maintain secure coding guidelines and documentation for engineering teams
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing applications
• Stay informed about emerging vulnerabilities, threats, and mitigation techniques to ensure proactive defense
• Act as the subject matter expert for application security across multiple technical teams
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in application security or related fields
• Solid understanding of common application security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and proven ability to mitigate them
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, ZAP, or Semgrep
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java, or JavaScript)
• Familiarity with authentication protocols such as SAML or OIDC
• Experience conducting and leading threat-modeling sessions
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in English
• Comfortable working autonomously and adapting to evolving priorities
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and apply new technologies
  
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Security certifications such as OSCP or OSWE
• Experience in automating security workflows and translating compliance requirements into technical implementations
• Familiarity with exploiting and remediating vulnerabilities in web applications, containers, and Linux systems
