JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence & Data Analyst to join our data team and play a crucial role in building and managing data products for business stakeholders. This role will focus on front-end Power BI development, data analysis using Python/PySpark, and supporting users with data insights. You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to gather requirements, develop insights, and facilitate effective use of data products, ensuring secure and efficient access for users.
What You Will Be Working On
- Design and Development: Build and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports that turn data into actionable insights. Ensure visualizations are tailored to business requirements and enhance decision-making processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and transform them into technical solutions, aligning with key business objectives and data functionality.
- Data Analysis: Leverage tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and PySpark to analyze large datasets, automate processes, and extract valuable insights for the business.
- Access Management: Manage user access within Power BI, ensuring appropriate security and compliance with data governance standards.
- Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for business users to maximize their understanding and use of Power BI data products.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Microsoft Fabric advancements to continuously enhance data infrastructure.
- Information Technologist Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, or Federal Diploma in a different field with further education in IT.
- 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields, with proven expertise in Power BI, Python, and Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
- Certifications: Microsoft Fabric or Azure certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Power BI (including data modeling, DAX, and visualizations), as well as experience with Excel, SQL, and Python/PySpark.
- Ability to translate business needs into user-focused data solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing user access in Power BI and an understanding of data governance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional work.
