AIMSES is building the next generation of smart sensors and edge-to-cloud intelligence for electric machines, transforming world-class NTNU research into real industrial impact.

We’re now looking for our second technical hire, a hands-on CTO who can design and build the full system architecture from the ground up: from the sensor layer to the IoT gateway, the cloud infrastructure, and finally the customer-facing dashboard.

This is a founding-level role that defines AIMSES’ technical DNA. You’ll shape the system, the architecture, and later, the development team that will scale it.

🚀 Your Mission

• Turn our patented technology into a scalable, secure, and cloud-connected product.
• Design and implement the complete IoT → Cloud → Dashboard pipeline.
• Build reliable data ingestion, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Architect and optimize the time-series data layer (TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, etc.).
• Develop a functional dashboard with a clear user experience for industrial operators.
• Implement security hygiene from day one (secrets management, TLS).
• Ensure compliance-ready design (CE, FCC, IEC 62443 mindset).
• Design the system to be horizontally scalable for future global deployment.
• As AIMSES grow, recruit and lead a team of exceptional engineers.

🧠 Who You Are

• A builder-architect who can both design and code end-to-end systems.
• Strong experience in edge computing, IoT pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Fluent in Python (FastAPI or similar) and familiar with C, C++ or Rust for high-performance edge code.
• Deep understanding of time-series databases (PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, InfluxDB).
• Comfortable setting up CI/CD pipelines and managing deployments.
• Experience designing enterprise-grade APIs and integrations.
• Exposure to global cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of security principles for industrial and critical infrastructure systems.
• Understanding or interest in compliance frameworks (CE/FCC/IEC 62443).
• Bonus: basic frontend/UI-UX skills to deliver a usable dashboard.
• Natural team builder and leader, capable of recruiting and mentoring top talent.
• Motivated to turn deep-tech research into tangible industrial solutions.
