Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)

Location: We hire with a focus on Dubai and Europe. For this role, we prefer candidates who are either based in Dubai or working remotely within +/- 4 hours GST time.

We’re looking for a Senior Android Developer to join the team behind the 1inch Wallet — a non-custodial crypto wallet used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. You’ll help us build new features, improve performance, and ensure a secure, smooth user experience.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA to deliver features from idea to release. We keep our processes lightweight and communication clear. We value engineers who take ownership, write clean code, and enjoy learning new things.

This is a high-impact role where your contributions will be immediately visible to users and will help shape one of the most advanced crypto wallets in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features in the 1inch Wallet
• Write clean, testable Kotlin code
• Web3 Integration
• Work with blockchain APIs and secure key handling
• Implement crypto-specific flows (e.g. swaps, signing)
• Work with design, backend, and QA to ship features
• Participate in planning, code reviews, and releases
• Ensure performance, stability, and test coverage
• Contribute to architecture and tech improvements
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Android SDK
• Experience building and shipping complex Android apps
• Familiarity with Jetpack libraries (Navigation, ViewModel, etc.)
• Understanding of mobile app architecture and clean code principles
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and code reviews
• Good testing practices (unit, integration, or UI testing)
• Proactive mindset, ownership, and strong communication skills
