Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-driven search algorithms for hybrid document environments
- Integrate machine learning models to extract, index, and retrieve data from PDFs and Excel files
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions
- Optimize search performance and accuracy for large-scale, complex datasets
- Ensure data security and compliance with best practices in handling sensitive information
- Troubleshoot, test, and refine platform features based on user feedback and evolving requirements
- Proven experience in AI engineering, with a focus on document search and information retrieval
- Strong proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Expertise in natural language processing (NLP), OCR, and data extraction from unstructured documents
- Familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Apache Solr) and indexing strategies
- Experience working with complex PDF and Excel file structures
- Ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with distributed teams
- Availability for part-time engagement
