This part-time, remote contract role is ideal for AI engineers with a passion for document intelligence and search technologies. You will play a key role in architecting and implementing solutions that enable seamless, accurate, and efficient search across diverse document types, supporting the needs of family office software users.

Responsibilities

Design and develop AI-driven search algorithms for hybrid document environments
Integrate machine learning models to extract, index, and retrieve data from PDFs and Excel files
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions
Optimize search performance and accuracy for large-scale, complex datasets
Ensure data security and compliance with best practices in handling sensitive information
Troubleshoot, test, and refine platform features based on user feedback and evolving requirements

Skills And Requirements

Proven experience in AI engineering, with a focus on document search and information retrieval
Strong proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Expertise in natural language processing (NLP), OCR, and data extraction from unstructured documents
Familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Apache Solr) and indexing strategies
Experience working with complex PDF and Excel file structures
Ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with distributed teams
Availability for part-time engagement
