We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our Digital Business group.

About the role :

As a UX/UI Designer at Laerdal Medical, you will work within the Digital Business Unit, Digital Services and Customer Support solutions. You will craft user-friendly, engaging and delightful interfaces for our core customer operations in the digital ecosystem, ensuring relevant and seamless experiences for our users.

Your role involves collaborating with our cross-functional team across the globe, internal and external stakeholders to design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing digital products that meet both internal and external user needs and business goals.


You will participate in gathering user insights, ideation and concept development, testing of prototypes, refining designs and specification for implementation, and continued user validation and iterations. Everything we do happens in close loops with our users and respective partners.

This role will be on-site work at our head office in Stavanger, Norway.


Some of what you will be doing :

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Technical Lead to ensure feasibility, viability, and desirability
  • Coordinate collaboration with other Laerdal teams to ensure a great user experience of the overall solution
  • Collaborate and synchronize with the technical teams working on frontend and backend
  • Lead user research, conceptualization of solutions, testing and design validation during the development process
  • Run A/B tests, and use quantitative data to validate and de-risk assumptions on larger data sets
  • Identify areas for improvement, share user insights and requirements with the team
  • Use visualizations and prototyping techniques to communicate the user experience
  • Design visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces aligned with brand and usability standards
  • Work with developers to craft and implement design solutions
  • Stakeholder management with internal and external partners
  • Be a design facilitator in the team, including facilitation of workshops, collaboration activities or active share outs across teams and disciplines


Who we envision would fit the role :

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in designing solutions with touchpoints across physical, digital and services
  • Proven experience in involving the user throughout the design process
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-disciplinary teams
  • Preferably a bachelor's or master's degree within UX or interaction design, or another relevant design discipline
