Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Mid Level Golang Developer for a temporary assignment in Plano, TX.

This position is a 12-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $66.00 - $74.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Mid-Level Golang Developer with proven expertise in creating scalable backend solutions, integrating with MongoDB, deploying applications on AWS, and managing containerized environments. This onsite position involves close collaboration with senior engineers and offshore teams to deliver robust, production-ready software.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Golang microservices using Gorilla Mux and gRPC frameworks.
  • Create efficient MongoDB queries and perform CRUD operations following best schema practices.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, EKS, EC2, and S3.
  • Containerize microservices with Docker and handle deployments using Helm.
  • Implement observability with OpenTelemetry and set up monitoring dashboards and alerts in Datadog.
  • Contribute to the design and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitHub Actions.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and engage in agile ceremonies.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of experience in software development, including at least 4 years with Golang.
  • Practical experience with MongoDB integration and data querying.
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy and operate applications in AWS cloud environments.
  • Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for container orchestration and deployment.
  • Basic knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, specifically OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Comfortable with Linux scripting, Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, and Git workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in EV telematics, subscription services, or usage-based billing systems.
  • Familiarity with payment gateways such as Stripe, Zuora, and experience with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cryptocurrency transactions.
  • Exposure to front-end development using Vue.js or React.js.
