About Us
Navixy, developed by SquareGPS, has grown into a global leader in Location and IoT solutions. As part of the SquareGPS portfolio, Navixy operates both as a core product and as a distinct entity, supporting over 30,000 fleets and 700 system integrators across 130 countries. Leveraging advanced technologies like GPS, LPWAN, BLE, smart vehicle trackers, and cloud computing, we transform complex technical capabilities into intuitive, actionable solutions that enhance fleet and field personnel operations.
Role Overview
We’re on the hunt for a passionate DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to keep the Navixy platform running smoothly, reliably, and at lightning speed — 24/7 — for customers around the globe. You’ll be the guardian of both our cloud and on-premise infrastructure, automating deployments, fine-tuning monitoring, and constantly pushing for better system performance and resilience.
This role is perfect for someone with a solid networking foundation: you understand TCP/IP, can navigate complex routing in distributed networks, and have hands-on experience with network hardware — skills often honed in data centers, with network providers, or integrators.
At the same time, you’re curious and excited to dive into cloud technologies and Kubernetes. This role is a fantastic opportunity to grow in these areas over the coming years and shape the future of our infrastructure.
Examples of our tasks:
- Configuring routing between data centers in different geographic regions connected via tunnel networks, with automatic route selection.
- Cloud and container environments: currently using AWS, planning deployment in GCP, with tasks involving self-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
- Automation of management and deployment tasks using AWX/Ansible.
- CI/CD pipelines based on TeamCity and AWX.
- Database clusters: PostgreSQL with Patroni, and MySQL Group Replication.
- Planning and deployment of a new Kubernetes cluster for infrastructure management.
- Self-hosting critical services such as web-servers, maps, geocoders, LBS, and route engines.
- Critical systems are designed to be vendor-independent.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of production and internal environments
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and monitoring systems
- Manage cloud services (AWS, GCP) and on-premises environments
- Implement CI/CD (GitLab, Teamcity) practices and improve release delivery workflows
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate reliability best practices
- Research and adopt new technologies to improve scalability and operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or system administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, TeamCity, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, etc.)
- Russian (Native/C2) and English (B2) proficiency
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in 24/7 environments
- Industry certifications such as Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA, or Checkpoint are considered strong indicators.
What we can offer
- Competitive salary based on experience with performance-based bonuses
- Hybrid work model (office in LA+ remote options)
- Professional development opportunities and industry events
- Collaborative, international team focused on innovation
- Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, paid vacation time off
If you love keeping systems humming, solving tricky problems, and growing your skills in a dynamic, global environment, we want to hear from you.
