Job Description:

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Joint Cybersecurity Analyst to upport the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office as a Joint Cybersecurity Analyst. This is a broad-based consulting and risk management role, which requires experience and understanding of modern cybersecurity concepts particularly as it relates to the deployment a single, shared electronic health records (EHR) system between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate across cyber operational processes and groups (and across DoD and VA) and for maturing cyber security capabilities for the single EHR, in a large, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Apply advanced knowledge of modern cyber security approaches – such as Zero Trust – to improve cyber posturing.
  • Apply extensive hands-on experience in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks.
  • Design and implement systems that meet agency Cyber Security policy and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, reports, dashboards, and metrics for management consumption.
  • Lead and monitor the migration of EHR data to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment, from a joint cyber risk management perspective.
  • Plan for and conduct cyber table top exercises.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline, and 10 years of professional experience
  • 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VA experience preferred
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records

Eligibility:

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate’s specific combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary range: $140,000 - $155,000
