Site Reliability Engineer

Equal IT is hiring a skilled Engineer to join our client's data-focused team in Stockholm.

Ideally, you will have been building frameworks, tools and infrastructure from scratch and used by other teams.

• Relocation to Stockholm, Sweden may be possible for EU citizens

The team's mission is to elevate the data platform and refine tooling for data ingestion, processing, and management.

In this senior role, you are key in constructing a resilient, scalable data ecosystem that enables our organization to harness diverse data sources.

The data framework relies on Google Cloud and includes tools like Airflow for orchestration, BigQuery for data warehousing, Terraform for iaC and Kubernetes for infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and Refine Tooling, Frameworks and Infrastructure to improve Developer Experience
• Collaborate closely to advance our platform, data collection, usability, and monitoring.
• Design guidelines and best practices for data pipeline architecture
• Oversee and optimize data integration workflows
• Develop and implement solutions for data governance, cataloguing, and access.
• Enhance data reliability by integrating monitoring, CI/CD, and testing protocols.
• Liaise with stakeholders to interpret data needs and build fitting solutions.
• Stay at the forefront of data tech advancements to continually refine the infrastructure.

Ideal Background

• 4+ years of experience building and managing data infrastructure and platforms as a Data, Site Reliability, Platform or Software Engineer.
• Practical experience with Data ingestion frameworks and orchestration tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure-as-code
• Expertise in Distributed systems and Cloud infrastructure.
• Solid Backend software engineering experience, okay with Python
• A solutions-focused mindset that prioritizes impact.
• Ability to provide insights and opinions on data processes and infrastructure improvements.
• Familiarity with handling sensitive data and navigating compliance issues.
• Experience with event-driven systems and scalability challenges.
• A holistic understanding of the data flow from ingestion to analytics.
