Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Governance Specialist to lead and support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra, Data Quality frameworks, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This role will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and standards.
• Administer and configure Collibra Data Intelligence Platform to support governance workflows and data stewardship.
• Define and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and dashboards to ensure high-quality data across systems.
• Establish and maintain metadata repositories and ensure metadata is captured, maintained, and accessible.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to design and implement MDM solutions for critical data domains (e.g., customer, product, vendor).
• Support data lineage, classification, and cataloging efforts.
• Conduct data governance training and awareness sessions for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata, or MDM roles.
• Strong expertise in Collibra (configuration, workflows, stewardship, catalog).
• Experience with data quality tools and frameworks (e.g., Informatica DQ, Talend, Ataccama).
• Solid understanding of metadata management principles and tools.
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio).
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Collibra Ranger or similar certification.
• Experience in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with data modeling and data architecture concepts.
