Position Summary

The Data Analytics Specialist will be the main technical and analytical point of contact for the Retail Category Development (RCD) team. This professional will be responsible for managing the entire sellout and market data infrastructure, ensuring the quality, optimization, and accessibility of data. Their job will be to transform large volumes of raw data into strategic insights, actionable dashboards, and automation tools that drive team productivity and category growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management and Engineering
    • Database Management: Responsible for the management and integrity of the client’s sellout database.
    • ETL and Optimization: Create, oversee, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like DOMO and Snowflake, aiming for data optimization and preparation for complex analyses.
    • Data Mapping: Map and manage several internal and external data sources, ensuring that all required information is integrated and ready to use.
    • Market Data: Responsible for managing the market database in the CP Genius system.
  • Analysis, Insights, and Reporting
    • Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain dashboards in Domo (or equivalent BI tool), ensuring key metrics are clearly and intuitively visualized for the RCD team.
    • Analytical Support: Act as a strategic partner to the RCD team, providing in-depth insights and analytical solutions that support assortment, pricing, and exposure decisions.
    • Critical KPI Reporting: Responsible for reporting and regularly monitoring essential company KPIs, including ND (Numeric Distribution), WD (Weighted Distribution), SOA (Share of Assortment), and Productivity.
    • Product Segmentation: Report and analyze product segmentation from Scanntech (or equivalent retail panel tool).
  • Automation and Innovation
    • Automation and Tools: Create automations and develop tools (scripts, models, etc.) to significantly increase the RCD team’s productivity and enable new types of analyses.
    • AI Projects: Actively participate in and lead the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects within the RCD team, aiming to optimize processes and generate predictive insights.
Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Solid experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Engineering.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL for querying and handling large data volumes.
  • Practical experience with data warehousing tools, such as Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards and managing data on BI platforms (preferably Domo).
  • Strong knowledge and/or previous experience with retail and sellout data, especially KPIs such as ND, WD, and Share.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Python or R for automation and advanced statistical analyses.
  • Experience with retail panel data (e.g., Scanntech, Nielsen, Kantar).
  • Experience with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence projects applied to sales, retail, or category optimization.
  • Knowledge of the CP Genius system.
