Full-stack AI Engineer – Enterprise AI & LLMs | Melbourne/Hybrid

Our client, a pioneering AI product and consulting studio in Melbourne, is searching for an experienced Full-stack AI Engineer to drive high-impact projects leveraging large language models, modern web technologies, and robust engineering best practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered applications, integrating LLMs with enterprise systems and real-world data
• Own features across the full stack: build and scale modern front ends (React, TypeScript), robust back ends (Python, APIs), and secure cloud deployments (Terraform, containerisation, CICD)
• Drive delivery in cross-functional agile product teams, collaborating with product, engineering, and client stakeholders
• Prototype new capabilities, experiment with emerging LLM and agent frameworks, and contribute to internal delivery libraries and tooling
• Bake observability, testing, and evaluation into everything you build, ensuring reliability, compliance, and business value
• Focus on projects in enterprise domains like sales enablement, workflow automation, and knowledge discovery

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a full-stack software engineer, building, scaling, and delivering complex web applications in production (enterprise experience highly valued)
• Recent, hands-on expertise working with large language models (LLMs), agentic systems, or AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, ADK) in the last 1-2 years
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript)
• Track record of shipping robust, secure, and maintainable code as part of agile product teams
• Experience integrating AI into real enterprise workflows; exposure to sales enablement, CRM, or knowledge management platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps (Terraform, container orchestration, serverless), and modern deployment practices
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Desirable:

• Experience with production monitoring, observability, and evaluation of generative AI/LLM deployments
• Background in deploying agent-based or AI-driven applications from prototype to production
• Passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Show us your public work, open-source contributions, or prototypes
• Batchelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics etc
