ABOUT THE ROLE


We are looking for a vibrant, creative and collaborative Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Department. The role will be responsible for providing design support to all areas of the business, with a focus on developing engaging design solutions to enhance the profile and quality of MFC's online assets, marketing and communication.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing & Brand Manager, the key areas of responsibilities will include:


  • Demonstrate a drive to create original work that inspires, excites and pushes boundaries
  • Interpret design briefs from internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and execute print and digital design work for all Melbourne Football Club departments that is high quality and aligned to Melbourne’s brand guidelines
  • Maintain the integrity of the Melbourne Football Club brand and visual identity
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the club’s visual brand strategy
  • Remain informed of emerging industry trends and best practices; evaluate existing design trends and provide appropriate recommendations and solutions


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE


You are someone who has the ability to balance multiple projects at once, work well in a team environment, and is passionate about your work. You will have a tertiary qualification in design, graphic arts, or a related field, and at least one year of hands-on experience in an in-house or agency setting.


You will have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and a strong understanding of digital production/design/printing techniques.


Your portfolio showcases a strong body of work across both digital and print, underpinned by a solid understanding of digital production, design principles, and printing techniques. Passionate about design and sport, you are someone who likes to stay ahead of emerging trends, tools, and technologies.


You are self-motivated with a strong work ethic, who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys collaborating to bring ideas to life. You can communicate effectively, manage multiple projects with ease, and are flexible, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality work on deadline. Whether working autonomously or as part of a team, you consistently bring energy, creativity, and a proactive mindset to everything you do.
