As a Senior AI/ML Data Engineer, you'll take a leading role in shaping the foundation of the company's AI and data ecosystem. You'll be responsible for designing robust data pipelines, building reliable ETL/ELT processes, and implementing systems that power AI-driven product features. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering and AI, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions. Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to support AI-powered features
- Develop and optimize embeddings, vector databases, and RAG pipelines for efficient information retrieval
- Implement and experiment with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex
- Ensure seamless integration between data pipelines and existing product or platform services
- Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, observability, and performance within AI workflows
- Deploy and maintain Python-based AI services in production environments
- Collaborate closely with product, platform, and research teams to ensure data-driven innovation aligns with business goals
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development, ideally within SaaS environments
- Strong command of Python (FastAPI, Pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow experience is a plus)
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
- Familiarity with embeddings and vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS
- Experience working with AI frameworks for RAG or orchestration (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and integrating pipelines into complex systems
- Bonus skills: cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster)
