CMB set up a branch that provides corporate banking, money market and financial institution services in Luxembourg in March 2015 and acts as the gateway and regional headquarter of CMB group in Continental Europe. Workplace: Luxembourg Onsite

Internship Period: Six months

Responsibilities:

You will work closely with senior managers and cross-functional teams in areas such as

• Data analytics & financial modelling – building dashboards, risk analytics tools, and business performance trackers.
• Automation & digital transformation – optimizing internal workflows using Python, Power BI, or other analytical tools.
• AI & machine learning applications – supporting model development for client behaviour analysis and risk assessment.
• Financial product innovation – assisting in new product research, ESG data analysis, and process digitization.
• Research & presentation – preparing analytical reports, business insights, and visual materials for management decisions.

Profile sought:

• Master degree in IT, Data Science, Finance Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, economics, the trainee must be enrolled in a university program and can do a 6-month internship with an internship agreement of the trainee's school program (mandatory internship).
• Familiar with standard SQL; able to read and understand SQL statements.
• Proficient in Python; familiarity with C/C++ or Java is an asset.
• Strong business English, good knowledge of Chinese, French or Germany is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Organization, time and priority management.
• Ability to work autonomously and can be team player.
