Network Administrator with Palo Alto

We are seeking a Networ Administrator to focus on the automation and optimization of Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches and Palo Alto firewalls. This role involves further development of VPN infrastructure, network monitoring, and traffic analysis, with an emphasis on ensuring security and operational efficiency. Your tasks

  • Automating and optimizing Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches and Palo Alto firewalls for firmware/security patching, device configuration, and policy management
  • Developing and expanding the Global Protect Client VPN infrastructure, implementing security measures to safeguard the company's network
  • Implementing IPSec VPNs or leased lines for secure external connections to remote sites and public cloud environments
  • Monitoring network infrastructure using Checkmk, Grafana, and Kibana to maintain operational health and performance
  • Analyzing network traffic, generating reports, and troubleshooting issues that affect productive operations
  • Coordinating project tasks with stakeholders and partners through phone calls and ITIL-based ticket systems to ensure timely project delivery

Requirements

  • Completed training or studies in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong foundation in network technologies
  • Several years of experience in the IT sector, with in-depth knowledge of modern network technologies
  • Familiarity with network automation and developing custom APIs for centralized asset and network management - Checkmk, Netbox, Jira, Cisco DCNM/DNA
  • Experience with ITIL processes (Incident/Problem/Change Management) and collaboration tools such as M365, JIRA, and Wiki
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative work approach, with a focus on teamwork and effective problem-solving
  • Openness to on-call duty and the ability to communicate fluently in English.
