Position Overview And Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Director to join our Value Creation Team in Madrid. This is a highly dynamic and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to work directly with the management teams of Nzyme's portfolio companies while engaging very closely with Nzyme.

You will typically join each company for periods of a few months during which you will lead the Value Creation Plan definition, you will help the management team organise for its execution, and establish the PMO and reporting frameworks to monitor progress and results. Occasionally you may stay longer to drive specific value creation initiatives.

You will act as the quarterback between Nzyme and the portfolio companies, ensuring alignment and effective execution. The role offers significant exposure to top management and shareholders, and requires strong leadership, adaptability, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience, with a strong blend of strategic and operational exposure, ideally:
    • 4+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm, with a track record of designing and implementing transformation and performance improvement programs
    • 4+ years in a mid-management or C-level role within an operating company - either a scaling SME or a large corporation - demonstrating hands-on leadership and accountability for results
  • Transformation leadership: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving transformation programs or executing operational initiatives that delivered measurable impact
  • Stakeholder engagement: Comfort and experience working directly with top management, boards, or shareholders, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders around a value creation agenda
  • Communication & Influence: Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating strategy, plans and business needs clearly and persuasively to senior executives, board members and the financial sponsor team; and capable of mobilising and inspiring the operating team
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and a passion for creating tangible value
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical acumen combined with a pragmatic, results-driven approach to operational execution
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • Languages: proficiency in Spanish and English required
