The company is seeking a senior consultant to enhance the capacity and expertise of its IT development teams for a specific period. The consultant will be responsible for addressing the backlog of development and maintenance tasks within one of the company's IT teams. Additionally, the consultant will contribute to project tasks essential for delivering several key temporary measures in the coming years. This includes final deliveries related to Fleks (the competency loan), programs for adults in primary and secondary education, new measures for debt relief for teachers and rural districts, as well as future debt collection, a large project from the Tax Administration. The consultant will also play a crucial role in establishing efficient processes and deliveries related to the ongoing modernization of the company’s core systems.

Tasks

  • Engage in standard software development within agile development teams, encompassing tasks such as developing new functionality, unit testing, code review, troubleshooting, and bug fixing.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners to define needs and requirements.
  • Contribute to the specification of programming guidelines for other developers.
  • Perform similar tasks within the required expertise if necessary.

Requirements

The consultant should possess expertise in the following areas, which must be documented in the CV:

  • Proficiency in development using the tool InRule.
  • Experience in developing general frameworks for the implementation of business rules.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining case management systems with a high degree of automation.
  • Proficiency in development on Microsoft technologies, including .Net Framework 4, WCF, and newer versions of .Net, both on-prem and in Azure.
  • Experience in using O/R mappers such as Entity Framework, for both .Net Framework and .Net.
  • Several years of experience collaborating with product owners on the description of needs and requirements.

Competency requirements 1 and 2 will be given the most weight.

Knowledge Transfer

Continuous knowledge transfer to relevant professionals within the IT department will be essential, achieved through documentation and involving experts in the ongoing work.

Practical Information

Consultants carrying out the assignments will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Proficiency in Norwegian at least at the B2 level is expected, as the company uses Norwegian as the working language for all code and documentation. The work location is the company’s offices in Oslo or Trondheim, with physical attendance required, possibly combined with home-office work according to the current guidelines for permanent employees.
