For our business partner, one of the largest integrators of IT and physical security solutions for national and European critical infrastructure, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team. This role aims to automate, optimize, and maintain the company's infrastructure, focusing especially on Kubernetes environments. You will ensure the development systems' scalability, reliability, and security.

The primary goal of this position is to streamline and automate the company’s infrastructure, particularly within Kubernetes environments. You will be instrumental in ensuring that both development and production systems are highly scalable, reliable, and secure

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bucharest.

Responsibilities

Incident Management: Rapidly identify, investigate, and resolve issues to minimize impact on end users.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with the development team to understand requirements and deliver optimized software solutions.
Performance Optimization: Maintain and enhance existing applications to guarantee peak operational efficiency.
CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment using Kubernetes.
Kubernetes Cluster Management: Oversee Kubernetes clusters and automate container orchestration with Helm charts to streamline deployments.
Monitoring & Security: Continuously monitor, optimize, and secure cluster performance to uphold system scalability and reliability.
Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Automation and Computers, Systems Engineering, etc.).
Experience: At least 4 years in a DevOps Engineer role with a strong focus on Kubernetes environments.
Technical Expertise:

Kubernetes Management: Proven experience in configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters using tools like Helm for package management.
CI/CD Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, especially in Kubernetes settings.
Infrastructure as Code: Solid knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Linux Administration: Advanced skills in installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
Service/Application Management: Experience with the administration/configuration of applications and services such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Keycloak, Redis, etc.
Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
High-Availability Systems: Demonstrated ability to maintain and troubleshoot systems requiring high uptime.
