The company is seeking a senior consultant to join its IT development teams for a limited period, with a focus on strengthening capacity and expertise. The consultant will be responsible for working on development and maintenance tasks, contributing to project tasks, and providing leadership support during transition periods. Additionally, the consultant will collaborate closely with solution architects and product owners to define needs and requirements, and may also take on leadership responsibilities within a development team.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in standard software development within agile teams, including developing new functionalities, unit testing, code review, debugging, and issue resolution.
  • Work on specifying programming guidelines for other developers and collaborate with solution architects to define architecture and technology needs.
  • Collaborate with product owners to describe needs and requirements.
  • Potentially lead a development team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in developing and maintaining case management systems in the public sector with high automation.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining functionality related to accounting or banking operations.
  • Experience with systems requiring high uptime and large transaction volumes.
  • Full-stack development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including .NET Framework, WCF, and newer versions of .NET, both on-prem and in Azure.
  • Familiarity with O/R mappers like Entity Framework, for both .NET Framework and .NET.
  • Experience in developing container-based solutions, including those based on the Dapr framework.
  • Leadership experience within development teams.

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in Norwegian at a minimum B2 level.
  • Ability to work from the company's offices in Oslo or Trondheim, with a combination of physical presence and remote work as per company guidelines.

Skills 1, 2, 3, and 9 will be prioritized.

Knowledge Transfer: Knowledge transfer will be conducted on an ongoing basis to relevant experts within the IT department. This will be done through documentation and involvement of professionals in the work carried out.

Practical Information: Consultants undertaking the assignments will be subject to confidentiality agreements.

The company’s working language is Norwegian. This includes all code and documentation, and it is expected that consultants are proficient in Norwegian at a minimum B2 level.

The workplace will be at the company's offices in Oslo or Trondheim. There may be physical presence combined with home office work, in accordance with the current guidelines for permanent employees.
