Lead Engineer – Electrical Engineering (Substations)

Location: Oslo, Norway

Contract: Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension

A market-leading power generation consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join their team in Oslo. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer with expertise in substation projects. You will play a key role in providing engineering support for ongoing substation tendering and construction projects, as well as mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical engineering expertise for ongoing substation tendering and construction projects, primarily focused on Statnett substations.
• Support and guide junior engineers, offering technical mentorship and leadership.
• Manage the electrical engineering input throughout the tender and construction phases of substation projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience working on electrical engineering for Statnett substations.
• Strong background in substation projects, with hands-on involvement in the tendering and construction phases.
• Prior experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both technical teams and clients.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Willingness to work in the Oslo office 2-3 days per week.
