We're currently recruiting an experience Backend Engineer for our client in Stockholm.

The Opportunity

You'll be working with a product-led FinTech company building a highly scalable platform used by banks and financial services providers across the Nordics and Europe, to manage their entire asset portfolio. As a Backend Engineer you'll be working in highly skilled team, solving deep technical problems, and play a key role in rebuilding a large-scale platform that powers critical financial workflows, in technologies such as Java, Springboot, Kafka, Postgres and MongoDB.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Re-architecting the existing backend platform to improve scalability, performance, and reliability
• Designing and building robust APIs and backend services in Java (Spring Boot)
• Contributing to the evolution of our event-driven architecture, using tools like Apache Kafka
• Optimizing data access and persistence across PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, ideally with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of event-driven systems, distributed architectures, and messaging.
• Have solved problems related directly to performance optimisation and scalability.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Fluent English Speaker, based in or near Stockholm
