Within ITE, our students and researchers engage in diverse areas of study, including electronics, AI, information-driven healthcare, autonomous vehicles, social robotics, and digital design. Research is conducted within the University’s research programmes, especially Information Driven Care (IDC), Re-Imagining Future Smart Living – beyond the Living Lab (REBEL), Learning in a Digitalised Society (LeaDS) and the Future Industry Research Programme (FIRP).
ITE is home to Leap for Life, an innovation centre for information-driven care, as well as the Electronics Centre in Halmstad (ECH), a collaborative space for electronic development.
For more information about the School of Information Technology: https://hh.varbi.com/center/tool/position/390021/edit/tab:1/hh.se/ite-en Description This is a temporary position and requires a combination of many different skills related to software development, machine learning and programming, but goes well beyond the typical scope of such jobs through the expectation of research experience in machine learning. Therefore, we need a person who is creative, open to new challenges, and passionate about delivering high quality results. The work include the following tasks:
- Contribute with software development in several different industry collaboration projects, mainly related to healthcare applications
- Perform data science experiments to extract knowledge from datasets
- Develop solutions based on machine learning, particularly deep learning
- Support the project team(s) in the various related projects, ranging from software documentation to validation and testing of methods
- Data engineering work including relational database design, structured query optimization, and data extraction pipelines, leveraging SQL and ETL frameworks for analytical and machine learning applications
- Teaching in foundational courses at the university, such as programming, can be included Qualifications
- M.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Machine learning or related discipline.
- A strong knowledge of machine learning is required (especially meriting is skills and knowledge in deep learning) with methods such as CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformers and Autoencoders.
- Excellent programming skills, analytical problem solving and organizational abilities are required.
- Experience from industry software development projects is required
- Programming skills in Python is required, skills in other programming languages and software development experience is a plus.
- Teaching experience in these areas is a merit.
- Proficiency in Swedish language is a merit.
