Job Description

As Director of AI and Data Science, your main mission is to mobilize and integrate expertise in artificial intelligence and data science to develop and optimize concrete solutions on the ISAAC platform. You are responsible for ensuring the operational application of AI, transforming prototypes into viable commercial solutions. You work closely with users and technical teams, promoting a practical, hands-on approach. Additionally, you drive the AI product roadmap, gathering client feedback and ensuring the relevance and added value of delivered solutions, while supporting functional synergy and continuous improvement within teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy, tactics, and action plan for data science and AI integration on the ISAAC platform
  • Transform prototypes into viable commercial solutions
  • Identify opportunities and strategies in AI and data management
  • Measure and analyze the impact of AI projects using clear performance indicators
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to integrate AI into solutions
  • Gather client feedback and ensure project relevance
  • Manage AI projects, respecting deadlines and budgets
  • Drive the AI product roadmap and collaborate with Product and Technology teams
  • Define and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of AI projects
  • Ensure compliance with current standards and regulations
  • Establish policies to guarantee data quality, security, and confidentiality
  • Automate and monitor processes to maintain data quality and security
  • Turn data into relevant and usable information
  • Conduct ongoing technology watch and integrate relevant innovations
  • Collaborate with other technology leaders to integrate innovations into processes and products
  • Represent the company at technology events.

Qualifications

  • University degree in data science, artificial intelligence, information technology, project management, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in AI, team management, and delivering impactful AI solutions
  • Inclusive leadership and ability to mobilize, inspire, and develop talent, as well as influence internal and external partners
  • Minimum 5 years of experience transforming prototypes into commercial solutions, with regulatory standards and performance tracking (KPI/ICP)
  • Expertise in governance, data quality, and security in highly regulated environments
  • Ability to define and implement an AI strategy aligned with business objectives, with ongoing technology watch and continuous improvement
  • Mastery of French and English (Reason: multilingual external clientele)
  • Technical skills: Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, data warehouses, Power BI, Tableau, Looker
  • Azure AI, Google Cloud AI, AWS, MLflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLOps, and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, GDPR, LOI 25 (Quebec), and data governance frameworks (catalog, traceability, ethics, bias management)
  • Mastery of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and collaboration tools (GitHub, Slack/MS Teams)
  • Ability to anticipate emerging trends (generative AI, autonomous agents, multimodal models, etc.) and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Occasional availability for work outside normal hours (e.g., weekends or evenings) as operational needs require

Assets

  • Knowledge and understanding of road transport
  • A graduate degree (Master’s or MBA) related to innovation management, advanced analytics, or digital transformation
