We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a robust and secure network infrastructure for our factory. The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in building a scalable network that supports industrial control systems, IoT devices, and secure connectivity within the factory. This role involves close collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure network resilience, performance, and security, aligning with the company's growth objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a robust and secure network infrastructure for our factory. The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in building a scalable network that supports industrial control systems, IoT devices, and secure connectivity within the factory. This role involves close collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure network resilience, performance, and security, aligning with the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Architecture
- Design a high-performance, scalable network infrastructure to support factory operations, including ICS (Industrial Control Systems), SCADA, and IoT devices.
- Plan and implement network segmentation to separate operational technology (OT) and IT networks, enhancing security and reducing interference.
- Ensure the network design meets requirements for redundancy, high availability, and minimal latency, essential for continuous production.
- Implementation and Configuration
- Deploy and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and VPNs tailored to the factory’s needs.
- Establish secure and reliable Wi-Fi and wired connections to support mobile devices, sensors, and production systems within the factory.
- Integrate and configure network monitoring tools to track performance, identify issues, and optimize network usage.
- Industrial Network Security
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement security protocols such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access control.
- Ensure network designs comply with security standards and best practices to protect factory operations from cyber threats.
- Regularly assess and mitigate network vulnerabilities, keeping the network resilient against external and internal threats.
- Optimization and Troubleshooting
- Monitor and analyze network performance to identify bottlenecks, optimize configurations, and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to maintain uptime and prevent disruptions to factory operations.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures for troubleshooting.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and operational technology teams to ensure seamless integration of the network with all systems.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and suggest improvements to optimize factory network performance.
- Lead network infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with the company's IT strategy and production requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Network Professional (CNP).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on industrial or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing network solutions, including LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP Aruba).
- Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN technologies.
- Knowledge of SCADA and ICS networks, as well as networking requirements for IoT integration.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot network issues in real-time.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, collaborating effectively with IT, cybersecurity, and operational teams.
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with a commitment to maintaining a secure and optimized network environment.
