Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Design Ownership: Take charge of the design process from concept to execution for key features across our mobile apps, web platforms, and self-service terminal interfaces.
- Customer-First Advocacy: Champion a customer-first mindset, deeply understanding user needs, pain points, and behaviours to inform every design decision with empathy and inclusivity.
- Design and User Research: Independently plan, conduct, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative user research methods—including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics—to uncover actionable insights and validate design hypotheses. Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
- Articulate Solutions: Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and iterate based on feedback.
- Visual & UI Design: Produce high-fidelity visual designs that are not only beautiful and on-brand but also functional, accessible, and aligned with iOS, Android, and web guidelines.
- Design System Creation & Maintenance: Build and maintain scalable, consistent design systems from the ground up, defining components, tokens, and patterns in collaboration with developers and stakeholders.
- Rapid Prototyping & Innovation: Use tools like Figma, AI-assisted design platforms, or low-code solutions to rapidly prototype and test design concepts, accelerating iteration cycles.
- Collaboration & Handoff: Work closely with Product Managers to define requirements and with Developers to ensure flawless implementation. Provide clear design specifications and assets.
- Design Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles and the importance of UX throughout the organization. Help maintain and evolve our design system for consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer.
- Expertise in user research, including framing hypotheses, planning studies, and synthesizing data into actionable design insights.
- Strong customer-first mentality, with proven ability to empathize with diverse users and advocate for their needs in design solutions.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems, with the ability to think in scalable UI components, design tokens, and reusable patterns.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates your process for solving complex problems—including research, wireframing, prototyping, and final UI design.
- High proficiency in industry-standard design tools, specifically Figma.
- Solid experience in planning and conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, layout, and spacing.
- A user-first mindset and a data-informed approach to design validation.
- Outstanding communication and storytelling skills to present your work and justify design decisions
