About The Role

Our client, is an AI and robotics company bringing innovations from self-driving cars and autonomous robots to residential security. They have raised a $22 million seed round and are creating a new, secure way for homeowners to interact with their properties using a 3D model of the home within a beautiful iPad and iPhone app.

They are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver performant, security-first systems for a wide user base. This role requires strategic thinking for long-term architecture and deep collaboration across teams.

You Will Contribute By

• Designing and developing performant and scalable end-to-end user-facing systems
• Building secure, user-facing features and APIs with high reliability and low latency
• Building security-first systems for mass consumption, which is core to their mission
• Working closely with designers and AI engineers to continuously improve the user experience, iterating quickly on prototypes
• Providing input into both product roadmaps and development approaches
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend engineering
• Proficiency in Python for backend development
• Hands-on experience working with AWS services
• Comfort working with RESTful APIs and real-time protocols like WebSocket
• Prior experience with API development using frameworks like FastAPI
• Experience with deploying services and managing EKS clusters
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CDK and Terraform
• Contributing to and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
