Title or Role: PHP Developer
Compensation: (Up to $60/hourly or $110K Salary) commensurate with experience
Location: 100% Remote
Length of Contract: 2 Years +
Position Description:
The Enterprise System PHP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level web applications and backend systems using PHP. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to best practices in software development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications and backend systems using PHP and related technologies.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Integrate databases and ensure efficient data management.
- Develop and consume APIs for system integration.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and bugs.
- Implement security best practices (e.g., input validation, password hashing, CSRF/XSS prevention).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in PHP development, preferably in an enterprise or large-scale environment.
- Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, Zend).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
