Job Summary (Backend Java Developer – Wells Fargo)
- Develop and implement features for a new cloud-native tax computation and tax return generation application.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 11/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
- Utilize Kafka and MongoDB for event streaming and data persistence.
- Automate functions using Python as needed.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional agile teams (product owner, scrum master, analysts, developers, test automation engineers) in two-week sprints.
- Engage in frequent software releases using CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Work with a variety of modern technologies including Docker, OpenShift, RabbitMQ, Angular (frontend exposure), and more.
- Apply Agile principles and Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Communicate complex technical ideas effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Continuously drive innovation and suggest solutions for complex product requirements.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong skills in backend technologies (Java 11, Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, MongoDB).
- Experience in Agile environments and use of automation tools.
- Excellent communication skills and active LinkedIn profile.
