Role Summary:

The Director of IT – Applications and Reporting is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of all enterprise applications and reporting systems across the organization. This leadership role ensures that technology solutions align with business goals, deliver actionable insights, and drive operational efficiency. The director leads teams managing core business applications (ERP, CRM, HRMS, and specialized platforms) and enterprise data reporting (BI, analytics, dashboards).


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the IT applications and reporting strategy in alignment with the organization’s digital transformation roadmap.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify technology gaps, define priorities, and drive innovation through scalable application solutions.
  • Lead application lifecycle management—from selection and deployment to enhancement and retirement.
  • Establish governance frameworks for system integration, data quality, and reporting accuracy.



Application Management

  • Oversee enterprise systems such as ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), CRM, HRMS, and other business-critical applications.
  • Ensure proper system integration between operational, financial, and analytical platforms.
  • Drive automation and process improvement through digital tools and custom applications.
  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing agreements, and service-level compliance.


Reporting & Analytics

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise reporting frameworks and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Define data governance and ensure reporting consistency across departments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics for strategic decision-making.
  • Enable self-service analytics and data democratization across the organization.


Team & Operations

  • Lead and mentor a team of application managers, developers, database administrators, and reporting analysts.
  • Define IT performance metrics, track system uptime, and manage application-related budgets.
  • Implement robust change management and release processes to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Promote continuous learning and technological innovation within the IT team.


Compliance & Security

  • Ensure all applications adhere to regulatory, data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Information Security team to maintain secure and compliant IT operations.
  • Oversee periodic system audits and ensure remediation of identified issues.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years managing enterprise applications or reporting systems.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing ERP, CRM, BI, or data warehouse systems.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, integration, and analytics tools.
  • Experience within financial services, real estate, or large-scale conglomerates preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex technology portfolios.
