Job Description
Experian Marketing Services are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our team. Your role will involve regular interaction with partners to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure understanding and execution against product goals.
You will prioritise and maintain the product backlog, write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, and participate in sprint planning and review sessions. Additionally, you will notify partners of story commencement and completion to ensure agreement throughout the sprint.
You will have a understanding of the product development lifecycle, Agile methodologies and use of structured methodologies to manage new products and create functional Product Requirements, document (PRDs), conduct functional acceptance tests and collaborating with team members to achieve sprint goals. You will also assist the sales team in addressing customer needs and maintaining technical documentation.
This is a hybrid Nottingham-based position reporting to the Programme Manager for Experian Marketing Services
Important Responsibilities
- Work with partners, including customers, business teams, and developers, to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure agreement on the product's goals and priorities.
- Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the product and market requirements, is aligned with the product vision, and is ready for the development team to work on.
- Write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, ensuring that the development team understands the scope and expectations of each feature or enhancement.
- Participate in sprint planning sessions to ensure that the team understands priorites and goals for the sprint. Additionally, reviewing completed work at the end of each sprint to ensure it meets the product's requirements and goals.
- Notify partners when stories commence and are completed, ensuring understanding at the start and end of each sprint.
- Experience in a Product Owner position with data / technology-focus
- Experience translating strategy into a clear backlog.
- Experience analysing and breaking down complex product requirements into more manageable components for different audiences and partners
- Experience with structured methodologies and product lifecycle for delivering and managing new products.
- Scrum or Agile focused background
- Participate in defining and conducting functional acceptance tests.
