A good client of mine, a professional services company are seeking an experienced API Developer with expertise in C# .NET to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs to power their business applications and integrations. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# .NET.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine technical requirements.
  • Optimize API performance and ensure scalability for high-traffic systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Implement and manage API security protocols such as OAuth and token-based authentication.
  • Perform debugging and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Integrate APIs with third-party platforms and services.
  • Write unit tests and ensure robust CI/CD practices.

Required

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in C# .NET development.
  • Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as .NET Core or ASP.NET MVC.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and query optimization.
  • Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman.
  • Knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
