What This Role Offers
The 29Metals Summer Vacation Program offers applicants practical, real-world exposure to the mining industry. Successful candidates will integrate directly into the site team at our Golden Grove mine, located 52 km southeast of the sunny shire of Yalgoo, Western Australia.
In this role, you will report to the Site Metallurgists and work alongside an experienced metallurgy team at one of the most complex base metal flotation plants in Australia.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
Our ideal candidate is currently undertaking a tertiary qualification in metallurgy, chemical engineering, or a related science.

We operate two long-life assets : Golden Grove in Western Australia and Capricorn Copper in Queensland, along with a portfolio of exploration interests, including a strategic tenement package and a project in Redhill, Chile.
Golden Grove is a high-grade underground mining operation producing copper, zinc, and precious metals. With a mine life exceeding 10 years, it has strong potential for further extension. The site is currently undergoing an expansion, including the development of a new mine, the extension of existing operations, and major infrastructure upgrades.

Candidates may be required to undergo pre-employment testing, including medical, respiratory mask fit testing, drug and alcohol screening, national police clearance, reference checks, and qualifications/licences checks.
- The opportunity to work at one of the most complex mineral processing plants in Australia, with exposure to base metal flotation (sequential copper-lead-zinc flotation)
- A 3-month fixed-term summer contract (November 2025 – January 2026)
- Exposure to construction and commissioning works

- Supporting plant optimisation projects as guided by the site team
