What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Global Director of Product Design, you’ll be leading design for a new global project building a new consumer portal product in both the UK and Australia. You’ll be expected to:
- Conceive, design, and prototype user experiences across both B2C and B2B contexts, represented through user scenarios, sketches, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
- Document design requirements clearly and comprehensively to guide cross-functional teams.
- Continuously research and stay current with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.
- Apply strong conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate business needs and user goals into simple, intuitive, and elegant user interfaces.
- Assess and synthesise data from multiple sources, including business requirements, technical constraints, user research, and analytics, to develop efficient user scenarios, taxonomies, navigation systems, and design patterns.
- Create and present design deliverables such as workflows, prototypes, and visual designs to effectively communicate and negotiate design solutions with stakeholders.
- Conduct competitive assessments and perform reviews of sites, applications, and devices to inform design strategy.
- Define, request, and incorporate relevant UX research and customer feedback to inform design decisions.
- Help define and track UX performance metrics to measure design impact.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure high-quality product experiences are delivered.
- Build strong working relationships with product leaders, engineers, and senior stakeholders to ensure design decisions align with strategic goals.
- Champion the reuse of design patterns and elements to streamline processes and maintain consistency across products.
Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an exceptional Sr Product Designer to join our Design team in a pivotal role within the broader Product team. We expect you to have:
- Ability to quickly visualise concepts and communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
- Proficiency in Figma is essential, along with a strong passion for creating prototypes using Figma Make or other AI prototyping tools, and testing designs.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in product design, including at least 2 years within an in-house product design team.
- Ideally, has spent 2 or more years designing high-end experiences for B2C.
- Embraces a collaborative approach to solving design challenges.
- Analyses research findings and product analytics to uncover insights into user behaviour, preferences, and market opportunities.
- Translates research insights into artefacts that summarise findings and provide actionable recommendations for the product team.
- Develops functional specifications and design solutions that align with user and business needs.
- Works with design systems and pattern libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Conducts user research to understand how users engage with products, including usability testing, survey design, ideation sessions, workshops, and focus groups.
- Maintains strong attention to detail while keeping the broader product vision in focus.

As a Sr Product Designer we expect your success and impact in the early stages of your career with us to look something like this:
Within 1 month:
- You are across the project scope, goals and have started to build relationships with key stakeholders
- You have learnt the current design process
- You are across the requirements and have started mapping out journey flows
Within 3 months:
- You are a key stakeholder on the team and need minimal oversight from other designers
- You have started creating designs for the project based on consultations with stakeholders
- You have been involved in testing your designs with external customers
Within 6 months:
- You are managing all design requirements for the team
- You have created a future runway of work for the next 3-6 months
- Your work is so good we don’t want to see you go!
- You’re helping the PM create the product roadmap
