We are hiring an experienced Frontend Developer. You will take responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of applications.

Your role and responsibilities

Using your technical expertise you assess the feasibility of the proposed functional analysis made.
Proactively you advise and recommend technical improvements.
Based on the analysis you develop specific functionalities using the different development tools at your disposal.
Frontend development (Typescript/React) are your main expertise but you can expand your scope to other technologies.
You take responsibility and solve incidents and problems within your domain and are continuously on the lookout for improvements of applications and processes.
Your technical prowess will be vital in driving functional analysis improvements, recommending technical enhancements, and guiding junior developers to excellence.

How to succeed / Your profile

Bachelor's degree or equal by experience.
A good spoken and written knowledge of English.
Experience with Frontend development, strong knowledge of Typescript, React, HTML5, CSS3 & 4, modern web design principles .
A strong analytical mind.
An accurate, methodical and systematic way of working.
A customer-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
Able to work in team as well as independent.
A proactive approach focused on problem solving.
Knowledge of Cloud based development like GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, ...
Experience with test driven development, CI/CD environments.
Understanding of OAuth2 (provided by Spring Security and ForgeRock in our environment).

Essential Skills & Technologies

JavaScript (ES6+): Proficient in modern JavaScript syntax, asynchronous programming, and best practices.
React: Solid understanding of React fundamentals, including component lifecycle, state management, hooks, and performance optimization techniques. Experience with large-scale React applications is a plus.
State Management: Experience with both React Query for server-state management and Redux for client-side state management. Understanding of when and how to use each effectively.
Routing: Familiarity with modern routing solutions, ideally TanStack Router.
UI Framework/Styling: Experience with Tailwind CSS and a component library like shadcn/ui. Understanding of responsive design principles and CSS best practices.
Accessibility (a11y): Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines and experience building accessible web applications. Knowledge of accessibility testing tools and techniques.
Testing: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright and React Testing Library. Ability to write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
Version Control (Git): Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration.
Build Tools: Familiarity with Webpack, Babel, or similar build tools.
Developer Tools: Proficient in using browser and React developer tools for debugging and performance analysis.

Desirable Skills & Technologies

Next.js: Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.js.
Frontend Observability Tools: Familiarity with tools like ELK-stack, Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring.
Storybook: Experience using Storybook for component development and documentation.
CI/CD: Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
Containerization: Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
Performance Optimization: Experience optimizing frontend performance, including code splitting, image optimization, and lazy loading.
