About HamyarMan
HamyarMan is a startup building an innovative online platform to connect elders and their families with trusted caregivers, offering services from companionship to medical support. As we develop our Minimum Viable Product (MVP), we’re seeking a passionate UI/UX Designer to create an intuitive, elder-friendly interface that empowers seniors to live independently with ease. Join us to make a meaningful impact in the growing elder care market.
Role Overview
As a UI/UX Designer (Junior or Senior), you’ll design the user experience and interface for HamyarMan’s mobile and web platform, ensuring accessibility for elders and functionality for families and personal assistants. You’ll work closely with our tech team to shape the MVP, focusing on user trust and ease of use. This is an equity-based role, ideal for mission-driven designers who want ownership in a high-impact startup.
Responsibilities
- Wireframes and Prototypes: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes (e.g., using Figma) for the MVP’s core features (e.g., service category filters, booking system).
- Elder-Friendly Design: Develop accessible UI with high-contrast visuals, large text, and voice command compatibility to suit seniors with varying abilities.
- User Flow Design: Map intuitive user journeys for elders (e.g., selecting a companion), families (e.g., monitoring care), and caregivers (e.g., profile setup).
- Collaboration: Work with the tech lead and software engineer to ensure designs are feasible within ReactNative-based development.
- Brand Consistency: Establish a cohesive visual identity (e.g., colors, icons) that reflects HamyarMan’s mission of trust and care.
Qualifications
Junior UI/UX Designer
- Experience: 1-2 years in UI/UX design or relevant coursework/projects (e.g., bootcamp, freelance work).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG for seniors).
- Ability to create wireframes and simple prototypes.
- Portfolio: Show 1-3 projects demonstrating clean, user-friendly designs (student or personal projects acceptable).
Senior UI/UX Designer
- Experience: 3+ years in UI/UX design, preferably in startups or healthcare tech.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
- Expertise in accessibility design (e.g., for low-vision or motor-impaired users).
- Experience leading end-to-end UX processes (research to testing).
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React) to collaborate with developers.
- Portfolio: Show 3-5 projects, highlighting user research and iterative design.
- Nice-to-Have: Startup experience or familiarity with elder care market needs.
Compensation
