Job Description
Job Title: HR Generalist (m/w/d)
Location: Berlin,
Job type: Limited 1 or 2 years Contract
Working Model: Hybrid, minimum three days per week in office
As a HR Generalist, you are building the foundations of your HR experience in regional employment law, compliance, and employee relations. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic HR Generalist to join our growing HR team. In this role, you will support HR initiatives by partnering with business leaders to drive organizational performance and employee engagement. Your responsibilities will include managing various stages of the employee lifecycle, as well as other HR-related initiatives. This role is a great opportunity for an aspiring HR professional to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The Role
- Employee Lifecycle: You will take ownership of different stages of the employee lifecycle and be the primary point of contact for our employees.
- Onboarding: You will be responsible for maintaining our onboarding program
- HR Administration: You will provide employees with essential employment documents, including contracts, amendments, employment verifications, etc.
- Employee Relations: You will support performance evaluations and initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in human resources, communications, or a related field is desirable
- Business fluent in English, German language is a plus
- You are passionate about the onboarding experience, understanding its key role in setting employees up for success
- You proactively educate yourself on German labour law and compliance to ensure adherence to regulations and best practices
- You support all aspects of the employee experience with attention to detail, ensuring every employee has a positive experience, even in challenging situations such as separations, resignations, and performance discussions
- You actively seek opportunities to assist your teammates, particularly during time-sensitive tasks such as employment contracts, verification, visa and payroll documents
- You independently identify areas for improvement within the employee lifecycle, offering solutions to enhance documentation and organization
- You are excited about working from the office at least three days per week
- Experience in document maintenance and filing
- Professional experience in HR is desirable
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience in using HR tools is desirable.
