We are looking for a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for a fixed-term position (maternity cover) to lead and strengthen data protection and privacy initiatives with a primary focus on Modus Automotive, while also supporting other Modus Group companies in holding, real estate, and asset management sectors.
This is an 18-month fixed-term position, with the potential to transition into a permanent employment contract.

We are looking for a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for a fixed-term position (maternity cover) to lead and strengthen data protection and privacy initiatives with a primary focus on Modus Automotive, while also supporting other Modus Group companies in holding, real estate, and asset management sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the implementation of data protection regulation into daily business operations within Modus group companies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
- Monitor policy and legislative changes, case law developments, regulators' guidelines and interpretations across different Modus group jurisdictions.
- Significantly contribute to the improvement of key data privacy compliance processes, including data mapping, records of processing, handling of data subjects' rights, personal data breach management, DPIA, LIA, supplier management, awareness raising and training campaigns.
- Handle data subjects' rights requests, lead investigations of data breaches.
- Support internal stakeholders with data protection and privacy advice. s
To be our perfect fit we expect you to:
- To have 2+ years of hands-on experience working on data protection and privacy legal issues as an in-house counsel or in a law firm, experience of acting as a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
- To be highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and business oriented mindset.
- To be able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects, work independently with minimal instructions given on new project or assignments, with orientation to the results.
- To have excellent communication skills.
- To be fluent in Lithuanian and English both spoken and written.
- Holding IAPP data privacy certifications (CIPP/e, CIPM) would be considered an advantage.
