As a System Engineer, you will be deeply involved in the architecture that underpins our products and services. Your focus will be on maximizing system reliability and performance through automation, proactive monitoring, and expert troubleshooting. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in an environment where learning from challenges is part of the culture and is ready to make a significant impact on our infrastructure.
This is a hybrid position based in our Ljubljana office.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain our core infrastructure across virtual, private, and public cloud environments;
- Administer and optimize our Linux systems for maximum performance, reliability, and security;
- Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline operations, reduce manual errors, and improve the customer experience;
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution;
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents, problems, and service requests within defined SLAs;
- Configure and manage key infrastructure services, including web servers and proxies like Nginx, Apache, and HAProxy.
- 2+ years of experience in Linux systems;
- Proven working experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems;
- Hands-on experience with configuration and orchestration management tools (Ansible, Terraform);
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Datadog);
- Proficiency with version control (Git) and project tracking tools (Jira, Confluence);
- A self-driven, energetic, and hands-on approach with a "can-do, get-it-done" attitude;
- The ability to work effectively both in a team and independently;
- Willingness to work flexible hours or participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- You have 2+ years of on-the-job experience at an enterprise level.
- Experience with Linux containers
- Good at scripting (Python, Bash)
