Java/kotlin developer

We’re currently looking for a Senior Software Developer (consultant) to join our Digital HR team. The consultant will be part of a cross-functional digital team that ensures our HR function has the modern digital capabilities needed to power a cutting-edge steel plant.The assignment involves taking a leading role in shaping the digital backbone of our HR domains. The consultant will act as scrum master/agile servant to the team, as well as design and build highly decoupled microservices, APIs, and solution architectures. Collaboration with HR and Finance stakeholders will be key — translating business needs into technical solutions that deliver tangible value, while ensuring that data flows across the organization are correct, reliable, and scalable. Previous work maintaining and facilitating prioritization of a development team's backlog is highly meriting.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and operating fast, scalable, and reliable backend services
• Building infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and development tools for efficient delivery
• Guiding the team in agile ways of working, accountable for activities such as sprint planning, refinements, retro etc
• Collaborating with HR and Finance stakeholders to translate needs into solid technical solutions
• Providing technical leadership in solution architecture, microservice design, APIs, and data flows
• Mentoring and supporting the team to foster collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement
  
  

Profile and experience:

• Strong background in backend development (Java, Kotlin, or similar)
• Solid understanding of microservice and API design, data integration, and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Experience leading teams or acting as Scrum Master / Tech Lead
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across both technical and business domains
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
