Manager, Security – Information Security Services (SOC)

Salary: Up to $175k package (inclusive of superannuation)

Employment Type: Full-time Fixed Term Contract (2 x 1 Year)

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to join a government client’s Security Operations Center (SOC). In this role, you’ll focus on managing incidents, conducting investigations, and improving SOC technology. Minimal management duties – this is a hands-on, technical role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct in-depth investigations and report findings.
• Develop and improve SOC security solutions.
• Oversee vulnerability management and ensure risk mitigation.
• Implement security architecture in line with industry standards.
• Maintain security compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS).

Requirements:

• Proven experience in security operations, incident management, and SOC operations.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and ASD ISM.
• Hands-on experience with SOC tools (e.g., Splunk, SIEM).
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management and security risk mitigation.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection).
• Experience in developing security policies and processes.
