Job Description

Airbus Netherlands B.V. is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join our IT department based in Leiden, The Netherlands. The ideal candidate has demonstrable education and/or experience in all aspects of the Cyber Security landscape and enjoys risk analysis and compliancy aspects as well the deep technical part of the job.

Airbus Netherlands designs and builds structures for European launchers serving the commercial and institutional satellite markets. The company also plays a crucial role on a variety of missions funded by ESA, NASA and commercial institutions to design and develop Solar Arrays used to power satellites, spacecraft and their payloads.

As part of our IT team, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting our space business. You will collaborate closely with system administrators and report to the Head of Services, who is acting as the Security Officer. This role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects and protect the integrity of our data and systems.

Your Challenges/tasks

As Cyber Security Specialist you:

  • Provide input for the yearly security improvement plan.
  • Continuously identify and assess all assets that need protection.
  • Perform security risk analysis and assessments of these assets, evaluating potential risks and formulating solutions and countermeasures.
  • Define project plans for the implementation of these solutions and
  • countermeasures, including security specifications and supplier selection.
  • Monitor the implemented solutions to ensure ongoing security and identify new vulnerabilities.
  • Assess the cyber security maturity of governance, protection, prevention, and detection, and define actions to improve it.
  • Signal and analyse potential security risks, providing insights into impact and designing measures to mitigate or reduce the risks. part of the incident response team to manage security incidents.
  • Keep your knowledge up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends and technologies, translating these into applicable solutions for the organization.

Profile Of Our Ideal Candidate

  • Proficiency in network security, operating systems, and security tools.
  • Strong ethical principles and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written); proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
  • Available 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Familiarity/experience with security standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrable education on bachelor or academic level and/or proven experience in all aspects of the Cyber Security landscape
  • 1 -2 year working experience on implementing, monitoring, risk analysis and or other cyber security related activities.
  • Residency in the Netherlands.
  • VOG and background screening to obtain a security clearance is part of the procedure.
